Internal ISM Audit (Ship)

The International Safety Management (ISM) Code details the requirements for company verification, review and evaluation and specifies (Clause 12.1) that ‘the company should carry out internal safety audits aboard and ashore at intervals not exceeding twelve months to verify whether safety and pollution-prevention activities comply with the safety management system.’

Our highly-experienced maritime management consultants are able to perform internal ISM audits aboard vessels and at offices ashore, on behalf of a company. We generate concise and accurate reports identifying non-conformities, observations and noteworthy remarks. Our aim is to assist our clients to remove non-conformities and provide pragmatic solutions to compliance issues.

Our clients often choose to combine the Internal ISM Audit with an Internal ISPS Audit, conducted at the same time. Please contact us to discuss your particular requirements.
