Teams from ChartCo Training & Consultancy and Regs4ships have now completed the latest review and update of their summary of ‘Future Regulatory Requirements’, to facilitate a quarterly promulgation of this reference document to the international maritime industry.
Please note that this document contains known amendments and changes taking place in the future, at the time of publication. This research has identified IMO legislation, EU legislation and US legislation, between 01/01/2018 and 31/12/2026. The categories/topics utilised are drawn from the subject matter and provided for guidance only.
This 15-page summary document (in implementation date order) is now being made available to industry and can be accessed at: Regulatory Review (15 September 2017). Since the publication of the first edition in June 2017, 15 items from the 74 listed have entered into force or been amended and a further 21 items have been produced for entry into force or action at a future date. The items still to enter into force have increased from 74 to 80, while the 30 requirements associated with the topic of pollution dominate the list once again.

Update (18/09/2017) – Line 4 (concerning pollution / sewage – MARPOL – Annex IV Regulations for the Prevention of Pollution by Sewage from Ships Regulation 11 – Discharge of Sewage) has been removed after it was recently updated when amended by MEPC.274(69) on 1 September 2017. A subsequent 2 lines have been added concerning pollution / sewage and MARPOL – Annex IV Regulation 11 (for dates 01/06/2019 and 01/06/2021). The summary has been updated to reflect this.
